Our goal is provide each student with a well rounded education in Chinese Martial Arts and to train each student in all areas of self-defense and fighting. Our instructors help each student progress and to become more confident, strong and healthy. Our classes are designed to ease new students in, while keeping the classes exciting and challenging for people of all ages and levels.

Our style of Kung Fu is “Choy Lay Fut”, a southern Chinese style very famous for it’s effectiveness as a style of fighting. Choy Lay Fut is famous for its long range hand techniques which are known to help in defense against multiple opponents, for it’s speed and quick movements, deceptive hands and footwork, wide range of weapons and it’s ability to adapt to any situation.

Training is done on a step-by-step process; students follow a 12 level system learning the style through a structured system. There are no belts or black belts in our school, we have kept things the traditional way, there are tests and a ranking system to help each student progress and be aware of their improvements.

Students will make tremendous gains physically! Between the Kung Fu & Kickboxing class, Strength, Stamina & Flexibility will be increased and students will notice improvements in muscle development too. The demand of exercise from Kung Fu has had some students lose up to 40 pounds in a 3-month period, as well as some underweight students gain up to 25 pounds! Kung Fu training will balance your life and get your body to be healthy and balanced.

Training at our school offers a healthy release for physical and mental stress, Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem are gained as students progress and expand their abilities. The concentration, discipline and confidence acquired from Kung Fu training will carry over into all aspects of life.

Sparring is the best way to learn to handle violent situations and at our school sparring has always been a main part of the training. Whether you have experience or none at all, our school will help you step by step get involved in sparring. Through sparring important lessons are learned that can only be experienced through trials and tribulations.

We put students into many different situations in sparring, light contact continuous, multiple opponents vs. 1, defense against weapons, San Shou (Full-Contact with take downs), Take downs, Submission. Our instructors experience in Choy Lay Fut as well as other styles is a real asset and helps our students who enjoy sparring learn many different approaches to combat.

Chan Heung is the founder of our style “Choy Lay Fut”. In the early 1800’s this style came to being in a very turbulent period and its use by so many practitioners has made it a very effective style due to its popularity. Chan Heung taught many students, his sons Chan Koon Pak and Chan On Pak who helped propagate the style and a very famous and controversial disciple Jeung Yim “Jeung Hung Sing”. Jeung Hung Sing is recognized as the leader of the Fut Shan Hung Sing Kwoon in China, and is also known to have added to our style.

Tarm Sam is the founder of the Buk Sing branch of Choy Lay Fut, which is famous for training many top fighters. Due to the inability to communicate and the popularity of Choy Lay Fut, many teachers have added to this great style. Just as an automobile improves its technology, Choy Lay Fut is always improving its technique and theory.
Grandmaster Lee Koon Hung as well as many masters trained under many teachers with the hopes of being better fighters.

Our style is “Hung Sing Choy Lay Fut” of both Chan Heung & Jeung Hung Sing.
